Longevity Standard respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

Longevity Standard provides financial education and independent analysis of long-term financial products. We do not sell financial products and do not provide individualized investment, insurance, legal, tax, or financial advice.

1. Information we collect

We may collect information in several ways.

Information you provide directly

When you contact us, subscribe to our writing, request an LS Review, purchase a Review, or otherwise interact with Longevity Standard, you may provide information such as:

• your name
• email address
• organization, if applicable
• information you include in a message or inquiry
• the name of a financial product or financial institution
• documents you provide for purposes of an LS Review, such as product illustrations, contracts, disclosures, riders, statements, or related materials

We ask users not to provide personal information that is unnecessary for the Review.

Where practical, documents should be redacted to remove information such as Social Security numbers, account numbers, dates of birth, signatures, banking information, medical information, and other sensitive personal information that Longevity Standard does not need in order to analyze the product.

Payment information

Payments may be processed through Stripe.

Longevity Standard does not need or intend to store your full payment card information. Stripe may collect and process payment information in accordance with its own privacy policy.

Subscription information

If you subscribe to Longevity Standard writing or other communications, your name, email address, subscription status, and related communication information may be processed through Kit.

Technical information

When you visit the site, our hosting and technology providers may automatically receive technical information such as:

• IP address
• browser and device information
• pages requested
• referring pages
• approximate location derived from IP address
• timestamps
• technical logs and error information

We may also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site.

2. How we use information

We may use information to:

• respond to inquiries
• determine whether a requested LS Review is within scope
• perform and deliver an LS Review
• communicate with you about a Review
• process payments
• operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and services
• understand how the site is used
• send writing or other communications you have requested
• maintain business and transaction records
• investigate technical or security problems
• comply with applicable legal obligations

Information submitted for an LS Review is used to provide financial education and independent product analysis. It is not used to make an individualized investment, insurance, or financial recommendation.

3. LS Review materials

An LS Review may require us to examine product-specific materials supplied by you.

These materials may contain information that identifies you even when that information is not relevant to our analysis. We encourage you to remove unnecessary personal information before submitting documents.

Longevity Standard may use the substantive product information contained in submitted materials to investigate and explain the product being reviewed.

Customer-uploaded Review documents are ordinarily deleted within 90 days after delivery of the Review, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary to resolve a customer request, comply with law, address a dispute, or protect the security or integrity of our services.

We may separately retain non-identifying research concerning products, financial institutions, contract forms, riders, features, source materials, and related evidence for future research and educational purposes.

We do not intend to include identifying customer information in that reusable research base.

4. How information is shared

We do not sell personal information to advertisers.

We may share information with service providers that help us operate Longevity Standard, including providers used for:

• website hosting and delivery
• forms and technical infrastructure
• email communications
• payment processing
• file storage or processing
• security
• analytics

These providers may include Webflow, Vercel, Kit, Stripe, and Google Analytics.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect our rights or security, investigate misuse, or respond to lawful legal process.

5. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including providing Reviews, maintaining business records, resolving disputes, improving our services, and complying with legal obligations.

Customer-uploaded Review documents are ordinarily deleted within 90 days after Review delivery, subject to the exceptions described above.

Reusable, non-identifying product and company research may be retained independently of a particular customer relationship.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information under our control.

No system for transmitting or storing information can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should avoid sending information that is not necessary for Longevity Standard to perform the requested work.

7. Email communications

If you subscribe to Longevity Standard communications, you may unsubscribe using the link included in our emails.

Transactional communications related to a Review or other requested service may still be sent when necessary to provide that service.

8. Cookies and analytics

Longevity Standard may use cookies and similar technologies required for operation and security of the site.

We also use Google Analytics to understand site usage.

We do not use the site for behavioral advertising.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal information we hold about you.

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information where applicable.

We may need to retain certain information for legal, security, transaction-record, or legitimate business purposes.

10. Third-party sites

Our website may link to third-party websites, including Annuity Digest and other sources.

Longevity Standard is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites.

11. Children

Longevity Standard is intended for adults and is not directed to children.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services, technology, or legal obligations change.

The effective date at the top of this policy indicates when it was most recently revised.
